Title and Summary

Sr. Specialist, Project Management Officer (PMO) [ Overview ]

The Mastercard Offers program delivers merchant-funded, insight-driven offers and tailored rewards through an award-winning suit of services to brands around the world, creating unparalleled preference and engagement that is a key contributor to Mastercard's Services organizational growth and success.

The Mastercard Offers Product Development team is seeking for a Sr. Specialist, Project Management Officer (PMO) to ensure our program roadmap, product releases, and high-visibility strategic initiatives are executed efficiently and aligned with our overall business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and organizational skills, able to prioritize using data-driven methodologies and drive structured change management practices across cross-functional teams.

[ Role ]

• Monitor the status, progress, dependencies, and risks across the Mastercard Offers program roadmap, product releases, and critical initiatives.
• Develop and deliver executive-level status reporting and presentations for senior leadership highlighting performance metrics, risks, and key decisions.
• Support program-level decision-making through quantitative prioritization frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
• Collaborate closely with global product managers, engineers, and external partners, facilitating cross-functional meetings across time zones to ensure cohesive project execution and effective stakeholder engagement.
• Identify and escalate risks, bottlenecks, and interdependencies early, and drive timely resolution of critical issues.
• Champion and implement structured change management processes to ensure smooth transitions, adoption, and successful delivery.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
• Track and report on KPIs, success metrics, and benefits realization to measure project and program outcomes.
• Promote adherence to the “Offers Product Development Standards” and Mastercard's product lifecycle and technology strategy guidelines.
• Support the development and execution of product release communications, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
• Coach and support project managers in applying project management best practices and methodologies.

[ All About You ]

• Bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience in program or project management.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight timelines.
• Proven experience in delivering complex, cross-functional projects in global environments, preferably in financial services or management consulting.
• Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Aha!, Jira, or similar).
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across levels and geographies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience in process optimization, technology application lifecycle management, or portfolio management.
• Familiarity with Loyalty Solutions or technical expertise relevant to the role. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Arlington, Virginia: $114,000 - $182,000 USD
