Title and Summary
TPM AI Director OverviewAs a Director of Technical Program Management for AI Solutions at Mastercard, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for driving key strategic initiatives across our artificial intelligence landscape. You will lead multiple, highly visible pillars, potentially including Generative AI, advanced AI algorithms, large-scale model training, performance optimization, and distributed machine learning frameworks. This role is crucial in transforming how Mastercard leverages AI to enrich our products, operations, and customer experiences, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological innovation.
What You'll Do
• Drive the E2E planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional AI programs from ideation to production and commercialization
• Possess a strong technical background and hands-on experience in areas such as large-scale machine learning training, E2E ML pipelines, model architectures, and distributed systems
• Continuously identify and remove bottlenecks, optimize processes, and challenge the status quo to accelerate the development and deployment of AI solutions
• Collaborate effectively across various organizational boundaries, building strong cross-functional partnerships and achieving alignment with product, engineering, data science, and business teams to meet Mastercard's strategic AI goals
• Manage expectations and communicate program status, risks, and achievements to senior leadership, including C-level executives, both internally and externally
• Contribute to the long-term AI strategy, roadmap development, and resource planning for key AI initiatives
• Proactively identify potential risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to ensure program success and timely delivery
• Mentor, coach, and inspire a diverse and talented team of program managers, engineers, and researchers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Preferred Experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience in technical program management, research management, or a similar leadership role within the machine learning, deep learning frameworks, distributed training, LLM, or Generative AI domains
• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in model training, especially at scale, and working with major ML frameworks
• Extensive experience with the full machine learning development lifecycle, AI software stacks, and related technologies
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely
• Experience presenting to C-level executives and influencing strategic decisions
• A strong ability to mentor, coach, and inspire a diverse and talented team of researchers and engineers
• Publications at top-tier conferences and journals in machine learning or related fields are a significant plus
Academic Credentials
• A PhD or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
