Overview
The Mastercard Software Builders Experience (MSBX) team is seeking a Vice President, Software Builder Enablement to lead the transformation of developer experience across Mastercard. This executive will champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence by empowering software engineers to build, deploy, and operate high-quality software with speed and confidence. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep technical acumen, a passion for developer productivity, and a proven track record of driving enterprise-scale change through data, platforms, and community engagement.

Role
Define and execute the strategic vision for MSBX, aligning with Mastercard's broader technology and business goals
Lead a cross-functional team to deliver scalable, secure, and intuitive platforms and tools that enhance the software builder experience
Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to identify friction points and prioritize investments that accelerate developer velocity and innovation
Champion a data-driven culture by integrating actionable insights into developer workflows and measuring impact through regained team capacity
Represent the voice of software builders in executive forums and influence enterprise-wide technology decisions
Ensure all MSBX solutions adhere to Mastercard's standards for security, compliance, observability, and operational excellence
Promote open contribution and shared ownership models to scale innovation and community engagement
Serve as a visible leader and spokesperson for Mastercard's developer experience strategy, both internally and externally

Preferred Skills and attributes:
Fluent in AWS CDK, Azure Bicep and Terraform
Fluent in Java, Python or GO
Proven history of building open-source software
Experience in Building Development Portals such as Backstage, Rapid Desktop Environments, Cloud Desktops for Developers, CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
