Manages a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reporting solutions, including visualization, to support the sales department. Key components include the ability to transform complex data sets into actionable insights that drive sales performance, continuously improve data processing workflows and reporting solutions for efficiency and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Manages the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or other reporting tools, to provide clear and actionable insights.
- Oversees the creation and optimization of data models that support reporting and analytics needs while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Ensures comprehensive documentation of departmental data processes, architectures, and systems are developed and maintained to ensure transparency and facilitate onboarding of new team members.
- Develops strategy for the overall reporting structure in partnership with the sales leadership team. Provides insights and recommendations to create new reporting or enhance current reporting.
- Allocates the work volume of the department through proper prioritization. Ensures project due dates are met.
- Generates regular and ad-hoc sales reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. Equivalent education and experience directly related to the role may substitute for a degree. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 8 years' years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related role, 3 years of which was in a leadership capacity or as a high-level individual contributor.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of health insurance products and sales, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and experience with data modeling
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
