General Summary of Position
Under the general direction of the Clinical Engineering leadership team the Imaging Specialist II is primarily responsible for tasks associated with the installation testing maintenance calibration and repair of medical equipment and systems. Maintaining clinical equipment and systems considered to be advanced specialty highly sophisticated integrated technology or requiring manufacturer service training or certification through the effective use of the medical equipment management plan while adhering to all medical equipment policies and procedures and manufacturer or alternative equipment maintenance (AEM) specifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Associate's degree in electronic technology required or
- Completion of courses in Radiologic Technology Service including advanced training program in electro-mechanical/electronic principles required
- 3-4 years Experience in the repair and maintenance of diagnostic imaging technology and systems. required
- CBET - Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician Upon Hire required or
- must be actively pursuing CBET and obtain within 2 years required or
- Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) Upon Hire required or
- must be actively pursuing CRES and obtain within 2 years required or
- Certified Biomedical Imaging Equipment Technician (BIET) Upon Hire required or
- must be actively pursuing BIET and obtain within 2 years required
- Ability to anticipate tasks and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to input data into computer programs.
- Ability to travel between sites to maintain diagnostic imaging technology and systems.
- Ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of basic electricity/electronics principles. Knowledge of hospital and department procedures and operations.
- Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database software.
- Provides hospitable customer service.
- Skill in the use of basic and specialized hand tools and testing equipment.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory agency's accreditation requirements.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $33.86 - USD $63.13 /Hr.
