In this position, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of assigned patients. The role emphasizes a team-based model, with opportunities to support care coordination, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and medical record review
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Write and manage medical orders, including medications and diagnostics
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in clinical status to the care team
- Coordinate care across settings, including admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
- Interpret diagnostic and laboratory results and adjust management plans accordingly
- Provide patient and family education and support
- Participate in rapid response/emergent situations as needed
- Support team workflow, patient throughput, and overall care delivery
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Board certified and licensed in the state of Maryland (or eligible)
- Prior inpatient or hospital medicine experience preferred
This position has a hiring range of
USD $115,000.00 - USD $143,619.00 /Yr.
