General Summary of Position
Responsible for the preparation of the patient the conduct of various standard complex and special procedures electroneurodiagnostic studies and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of tests.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required or
- Associate's degree preferably in a science related field. preferred
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
- 1-2 years Working in neurodiagnostic field. required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
- R-EEGT - Registered Electroencephalographic Technician Board registration in one of the following END fields - (R.EEG T.) CLTM R.NCVT. R.EMG T. CLTM. preferred and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Current knowledge of basic EEG evoked-potentials and/or nerve conduction studies.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions on all procedures.
- Able to establish good rapport with patients public and the staff.
- Able to work with severely ill patients.
- Has sound independent judgement and initiative.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
