General Summary of Position
Will perform duties as a customer service liaison between Environmental Services Plant Operations and Food and Nutrition Departments. Washes walls venetian blinds woodwork and light fixtures. Cleans hospital rooms and equipment upon discharge of patient. Uses powered and hand cleaning equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Performs unit environmental maintenance in a safe and efficient manner by sweeping mopping using specified chemicals at the correct dilutions following up with scheduled burnishing. All areas are clearly marked/designated with WET floor signs.
• Performs scheduled hard surfaced floor and carpet care using specified chemicals and dilutions with the appropriate choice of equipment and methods. All areas are to be clearly marked/designated with WET floor signs.
• Operates safely and effectively electric and battery powered scrubbers buffers automatic scrubbers carpet shampoo equipment. This includes pre and post use maintenance.
• Ensure areas maintained and cleaned are properly completed.
• Maintains department stockroom organization and cleanliness.
• Documents daily isolation discharge cleaning monthly cubicle curtains and scheduled terminal cleans.
• Assists Environmental Services Supervisor with environmental maintenance by reporting repair and cleaning needs outside of their capabilities.
• Collects trash segregates trash by placing into categories: Recyclable hazardous Sharps and General waste.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years Experience required and
• Must be able to buff wax and strip floors. required
