General Summary of Position
Provides personal care for the Agency's patients

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to read write and perform arithmetic calculations required and
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Less than 1 year 6 months home care experience preferred
• One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant in the District of Columbia Maryland Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
• Geriatric Nursing Assistant - GNA in the District of Columbia Maryland Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
• CHHA - Certified Home Health Aide in the District of Columbia Maryland Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
• Completion of MedStar Health's home health aide wound diabetes and CHF competencies after hire. required and
• DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation Upon Hire required

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
