General Summary of Position
Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Monitors quality and safety issues. Functions in a nursing work and clinical skills mentoring capacity to medical assistant staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Associate's degree Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. required and
- Bachelor's degree In Nursing (BSN) preferred and
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
- 1-2 years 2 years of professional nursing experience; must have strong organizational skills. required and
- 1-2 years Previous office management/administrative experience . 1 year of previous outpatient experience preferred
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Registered Nurse licensed in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care;
- Skill in applying and modifying the principles methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care;
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients medical staff and the public.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $34.98 - USD $62.52 /Hr.
