General Summary of Position

This is a full-time position offering premium pay to work at all 4 MedStar Health hospitals in the Baltimore region:

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital

MedStar Harbor Hospital

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital

MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapist Float (Inpatient) to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital!

The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to patients, to include but not limited to screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation at a minimum of three (3) locations. The Occupational Therapist participates, as requested, in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Primary Duties:

· Conducts evaluations, reviews history, performs assessments, and documents results. Develops treatment plans, explains findings, and involves patients and families in goal-setting. Adjusts care as needed based on patient conditions..

· Accurately documents patient care, including initial evaluations, progress summaries, and discharge plans. Ensures timely and appropriate follow-up care while maintaining clear, organized records.

· Manages schedules efficiently, meets productivity expectations, and remains adaptable to department needs. Demonstrates professionalism and flexibility in various work settings while ensuring frictionless patient access.

· Participates in multidisciplinary teams, hospital committees, and community outreach. Supports department goals, complies with regulations, and engages in quality improvement efforts.

· Pursues continuing education, maintains professional competency, and mentors students, new staff, and volunteers. Acts as a clinical instructor and assists with orientation and training.

 

· Qualifications:

· A Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (required)

· A Master's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (required)

· A Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041
