General Summary of Position
The Regional Procurement Lead is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of hospital and hospital-based purchasing, closely working with the System Procurement Manager as the day-to-day lead overseeing the dedicated regional jurisdiction(s). The Maryland Lead will oversee 7 hospitals in the Baltimore Metro Area and the DC Lead will oversee 3 hospitals in the DC metro area.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience
- 3-4 years Pharmacy technician in hospital setting required and
- 5-7 years Pharmacy buyer experience in hospital setting required and
- 340B Experience preferred and
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management required and
- Demonstrated experience with Federal/state laws and regulations required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Licenses and Certifications
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) Registered Technician in MD required or
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) Registered Technician in DC required and
- Certification from 340B University (Basic) within 180 Days required and
- PTCB - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Nationally Certified required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, writing, and presentation skills a must.
- Advanced level of knowledge, skills and abilities with regard to medication management software/hardware, accounting standards, internal controls, understanding hospital and retail pharmacy operations as they interface with the 340B Drug Program, proficiency with Microsoft applications, data and evidence analysis, financial statement analysis, interviewing, writing, listening and presenting materials.
- Self-motivated individual with high level of problem-solving to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical, or administrative problems. Ability to multitask in a challenging work environment, critical system-thinking skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with key pharmacists, buyers, finance, supply chain, system and entity leadership and others involved with the pharmacy procurement services
- Understands and follows organizational and departmental policies, procedures and performance improvement plans, departmental mission and vision statements and philosophy. Comprehend HIPAA policies on confidentiality
