Description

Responsible for the coordination and completion of supply chain related activities based on physical facility requirements for the launch of new or revisions of existing sites. Works in conjunction with project managers,other supply chain personnel, internal stakeholders, the facility launch team and all other business partners in the facility launch process. Responsible for FF&E, Medical Equipment and supply chain-related services for the non-acute sites. Coordinates with and acts as a liaison to our business partners coordinating the FF&E process.
Education

  • Associate's degree in relevant field; required and
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
  • 1-2 years 2 years healthcare experience required and
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project/program planning, development and management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
  • Acts as liaison between MedStar Supply Chain Management and all other project participants including consultants, contractors and vendors.
  • Assists in the processing, maintenance and storage of high quality documentation including contracts, change orders, specifications, budgets, expenditure records, schedules, correspondence, purchase requisitions/purchase orders, reports such as a comprehensive tracking document that is shared with the project team.
  • Attends project meetings to understand scope, schedule, building issues and departmental/site needs.
  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Coordinates the review and receipt of purchase orders for a project.
  • Establishes, in cooperation with other project personnel, the planning of the FF&E, medical equipment and services lists, advising on standardized equipment, products and services based on MedStar contracts. Obtains quotes and effectively communicates and updates the project team, superiors and participants on the project progress.
  • Helps to coordinate vendors and to facilitate scheduling and coordination of FF&E, medical equipment and other site services for a successful facility launch.
  • Is a resource to assist with coordination of training of MedStar supply chain processes.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Resolves issues with items from the punch list that pertains to FF&E, medical equipment/supplies and other services.
  • Works with SCM Director to identify areas of cost-saving opportunities within project scopes.
