General Summary of Position

This role is Hybrid - expectations are to travel to MedStar Health's Northern region hospitals regularly. There may be some travel to MedStar Health's Southern region hospitals based on specific projects.

Provides project management and operational support to the service line to effectively execute key components of MedStar's Strategic Plan. Collaborates with key stakeholders to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the service line across MedStar Health entities.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensures compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations.
  • Under the direction of the Director, Service Line Operations, oversees and manages completion of specified annual operating priorities for the service line.
  • In collaboration with the Service Line leadership, identifies strategic opportunities and prioritizes initiatives. Develops implementation plans and oversees execution.
  • Collaborates with service line leadership, hospital executives, MedStar Institute for Innovation, MedStar Telehealth Innovation Center, and other key stakeholders as necessary to ensure engagement and alignment with service line initiatives.
  • In support of Annual Operating Plan priorities, assists with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Develops and maintains special reports as requested.
  • Serves as a liaison with Corporate departments such as planning, decision support/business analytics, finance, and others to advance service line initiatives and reporting.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.
  • If applicable, acts as primary coordinator for MMG Critical Care Medicine to ensure smooth recruitment, privileging, and onboarding process for new Critical Care Medicine providers. Effectively collaborates with HR, Recruitment, Central Verification Office, and other internal and external stakeholders as needed to optimize the process and create a seamless provider experience.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or Public Health required.
    • Master's degree preferred.

    Experience

    • 2 years experience with expertise in project management, operations, strategic planning, and/or data analytics required.

    This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $131,310
