General Summary of Position
Provides patient care for transplant patients following established standards and practices. Functions to advance the clinical mission and goals of the Georgetown Transplant Institute through collaborative relationships within the Medical Center. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, nursing, or registered dietician. required
Experience
- 3-4 years professional clinical experience as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or registered dietitian. preferred
- Candidates with at least 1 year of previous transplant-related experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia (for those holding a BSN degree) required or
- RD - Registered Dietician required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care;
- effective verbal and written communication skills;
- flexibility in schedule and tasks, as needed; computer skills;
- good customer service skills and attitude, team player;
- skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public;
- ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities will be assessed within the first ninety days of employment.
This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041
