Overview:
The Health Information Technician will provide exceptional customer service by processing and fulfilling requests for Protected Health Information (PHI) in various formats (paper, electronic, disc, thumb drive, etc.) in compliance with HIPAA regulations. The goal is to contribute to improved patient outcomes, enhanced quality care, and stronger provider engagement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: 2 years in acute care medical records department. 1 year experience in release of information or analysis role in acute care setting
- Certifications: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator). RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)
- Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starting, independent individual
- Highly motivated and organized problem solver
