Overview:

This is a HYBRID position.

 

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist serves as a key resource in creating an exceptional caregiver experience. This role will be responsible for facilitating onsite HR activities, including but not limited to, new caregiver orientation, benefit fairs and providing comprehensive caregiver support. The HR Generalist delivers service-oriented customer service in support of caregivers and business operations ensuring that accurate, timely, and consistent information is provided.

 

Provides guidance and support for caregivers, and leaders as on onsite HR resource.


Facilitates engaging and informative caregiver orientation sessions to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the ministry.


Support onsite benefit fairs and other onsite HR events to promote caregiver well-being and awareness of available resources.


Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves requests ranging from simple to complex questions using knowledge of Mercy policies and procedures.


Provides guidance to caregivers and leaders on HR policy interpretation and application and benefit questions, ensuring clear and accurate communication.


Serves as liaison and collaborates with other departments (e.g., other HR teams, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to see issues through to resolution and provide ongoing support.


Escalates complex or unique cases to Senior HR Advisors, appropriate leader, or other departments when necessary.


Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: One (1) year of experience in an HR Generalist role, training and development or HR support role.
  • Required Education: Associate's degree in business or health related field. 
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or health related field. 
  • Preferred Experience: Two (2) years in employee relations, recruiting, HR operations, compensations, benefits, payroll etc.
  • Other: Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:•    Strong presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate independently.•    Strong analytical skills to assess situations and identify the best course of action to resolve employee concerns.•    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in an accessible and empathetic manner.•    Ability to manage a high volume of inquiries while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.•    Strong listening skills to understand employee concerns and provide thoughtful, effective solutions.•    Knowledge of HRIS (Human Resources Information System) or similar software.•    High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.•    Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.Work Location/Travel: This is a Hybrid position.
