Principal – Enterprise AI Architecture

Langgraph, Azure, Databricks, AWS 

 

Position can be remote (Work from Home)

The Principal – Enterprise AI Architecture serves as Mercy's top AI Architect, accountable for the design, orchestration, governance, and evolution of the enterprise AI architecture. This role leads the strategic direction for AI systems across clinical, operational, and business domains including the development of scalable, ethical, and federated agentic AI frameworks. The Principal ensures architectural alignment across Mercy's federated model, drives enterprise-wide standards, and acts as the chief advisor and steward for all AI-related architectural decisions.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7 years of experience in AI/ML solution design, development, and architecture.3 years of experience leading enterprise architecture or large-scale AI systems
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, AI, or related field with demonstrated ongoing education and personal development.
  • Other:
  • Demonstrated experience with agentic AI or autonomous systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerization.
  • Proven ability to lead architectural governance and create reference models.
  • Deep understanding of security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
  • Effective communicator with ability to translate technical architecture to business and clinical leaders.
  • Proficiency in Project/Product Management and Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborative leadership with a servant ethos; capable of influencing across a federated organization.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.Experience as a Chief Architect or equivalent role overseeing cross-functional AI strategy.Experience implementing LangGraph or similar agentic AI frameworks.
