  • Full Time (40 hrs. per week,) Day Shift
    • Mon-Fri, 8a-430p + on-call Weekends
    • Holiday Rotation - 1 summer, 1 winter
  • Gas Mileage Offered - $0.70/mile
    • Subject to change per Federal Reimbursement Rate

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current LPN license in the state of Missouri. Must be a licensed driver.
  • Certification/Registration:
    • IV certification required (or within 1 year of hire)
    • Possesses and maintains current BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred Experience: Prefer one year experience in a related field.
  • Other skills & knowledge:
    • Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
    • Understands Hospice philosophy; issues related to death/dying and grief. Complies with Unity Health Hospice Health Status requirements.
    • Has ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner.
    • Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
    • Employee has significant impact on patient welfare.
    • Effects or errors in determining patient condition or administering medication could be critical. Employee is frequently to continuously alone with patient and must be able to handle emergencies without assistance.
    • Employee must be able to assist falling or fallen patient; must be able to perform CPR alone. Individual homes may present poor lighting situations, exposure to pets and other allergens, pest infestations and poor cleanliness.
    • Employee may be exposed to irate and abusive patients and families.
    • Employee must be able to assess home situation for possible patient abuse.
    • Employee may be required to drive at night and/or in hazardous conditions; must be able to follow written/verbal instructions and read a map. Employee must independently schedule patient visits in timely and efficient manner; checking in with office daily to update schedule. Employee has regular contact with agency staff members, physicians, hospital or medical center staff, general public. Employee regularly handles confidential information.
