Overview:
Responsible for working with employer groups, members, and providers, primarily over the phone, regarding claim questions and issues through RAM Technologies HEALTHsuite Claims Module. Ensures the Mercy values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operations. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare claims, customer service or similar role, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Required Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Other: Extensive phone skills, including excellent verbal communication. Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of CPT Codes and HCPCs codes. Knowledge of ICD-10 codes. Understanding of group health benefits, especially self-funded. Writing skills to enable accurately completing required documentation with the time frames prescribed. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
