Location: Mercy Coletta Cancer Center - Oklahoma City
Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week) Days
Overview:
The Medical Radiation Physicist is to be trained and competent in all areas of radiation oncology physics, radiation safety, treatment planning including but not limited to conventional, IMRT, IGRT, Rapid Arc, SBRT, Respiratory Gating, Gamma Knife Stereotactic radiosurgery, and Brachytherapy (HDR and LDR). The Radiation Medical Physicist will serve as mercy health Center's radiation safety officer.
Qualifications:
Education: MS or Ph.D., in Medical Physics or a closely related field.
Experience: Will be qualified to assume the responsibilities of radiation safety officer for the hospital and its entities.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience as a Clinical Medical Physicist is desirable.
Certifications: Certification with the American Board of Radiology and/or the American Board of Medical Physics, or board eligible (Achieved full board certification within 4 years of hire).
Other: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
