The Manager of Cardiac Care Recovery and Cardiac Evaluation Unit provides operational and clinical leadership for the cardiac recovery and evaluation units, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for post-procedural, post-operative, and cardiac observation patients. This role leads nursing and support staff, drives clinical excellence and regulatory compliance, and collaborates closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to optimize patient outcomes, workflow efficiency, and caregiver engagement. The Manager fosters a culture of safety, accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement while supporting staff development and operational sustainability. Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: BSN preferred. Internal transfer applicants without Bachelor's degree may be considered if the applicant is willing to actively pursue a Baccalaureate degree once hired into position.
Actively pursuing a Baccalaureate degree is defined as being enrolled in a Baccalaureate program and completing at least one course per semester.
Experience: 3 or more years of Nursing.
License(s): Current license in applicable State of practice for Registered Nurse.
Certification(s): Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Nursing or a healthcare related field.
Experience: Management experience.
Certification(s): Certification in a specialty of Nursing preferred.
