Join a dynamic and collaborative team in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Mercy South's Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center, Level I Stroke Center, and STEMI Receiving Center with Comprehensive Stroke Certification. We provide care for a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics, ranging from low acuity to critical care.
Department Highlights:
- 63-bed Emergency Department
- RN-to-patient ratio: 1:3–4
- Dedicated triage, behavioral health, and Super Track areas
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration with ED physicians
- Robust educational support and certification opportunities
- 16-week Nurse Residency Program for new graduates
As the Nurse Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality nursing care within the Emergency Department on a 24-hour basis. This role requires a strategic and compassionate leader who fosters a professional practice environment aligned with Mercy's mission and values. You will be responsible for clinical outcomes, resource management, staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and clinical care delivery
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Support staff development and professional growth
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license or temporary permit in the state of Missouri
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and computer systems
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
