Under the direction of management and/or vice president and physicians, as applicable, the medical office coordinator coordinates, evaluates and gives direction in the overall day-to-day operations of the work area as assigned. This person will work closely with the manager/administrator with established policies and procedures to achieve goals and objectives.

Position Details: Located at the MERCY SURGERY CENTER SPRINGFIELD, MO FULL TIME MINIMUM Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Licensure: None.
Experience: Two years' experience in a healthcare setting and/or supervisory/management experience required.
• Compiles the Health System consolidated monthly financial statements and numerous supporting reports and schedules.
• Develops and manages capital and operational clinical unit budgets, including monthly variance analysis.
• Directs participation in patient satisfaction and office efficiency surveys.
• Communicates Press Ganey results with team in a timely manner and takes action to improve upon deficient areas.
• Communicates Mercy Service program, MAPS program, and other System materials to staff in a timely and enthusiastic manner.
• Communicates and provides leadership to develop a team.
• Takes an active role in seeking solutions/answers to stakeholder's concerns and/or suggestions.
• Communicates operational issues to appropriate management/administrators, departments and physicians as needed.
• Collects and reviews data for financial and statistical purposes including invoices and statements.
• Generates or collects operational financial reports to verify correct charge entries, coding and overall operational reporting.
• Coordinates activities such as scheduling, medical records, CPT and ICD-10 coding, charge entry and patient accounts as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other employees in a caring and friendly manner; a professional approach is expected.
