Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive patient experience? We are seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Therapy Services team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the PSR plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and seamless experience while supporting the daily operations of the clinic.
Position SummaryThe Patient Service Representative is responsible for managing front desk operations, assisting patients and visitors, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting clinic workflows. This individual must be professional, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding service in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage front desk operations and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Accurately enter and update patient information and documentation.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all privacy policies and procedures.
- Process forms, records, and other required documentation.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient clinic operations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing patient needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training following hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including data entry and word processing.
- Excellent customer service skills and a patient-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and patient information management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect patient privacy.
- Adaptability and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- One year of medical office or related healthcare administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout each shift.
- Ability to frequently grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat while performing job duties.
