Position: Patient Care Associate (PCA) – Emergency Department
Status: Part-Time (24 hours/week)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Be part of our 26-bed Emergency Department, open 24/7, providing exceptional care to our community. As the only trauma-rated and pediatric emergency department in the area, our dedicated team manages a wide range of illnesses and injuries with skill, compassion, and teamwork.
Position OverviewUnder the guidance of an RN or LPN, the Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in delivering personalized patient care, supporting patients in achieving their highest level of wellness.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Associate (PCA) Duties:
Obtain and accurately document vital signs in the electronic medical record system
Assist patients with daily needs: meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and transport
Provide clerical support as needed

Phlebotomy and blood culture collection
Enteral feeding administration
Wound care
IV and Foley catheter removal
Tracheostomy care and suctioning
Accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program with hands-on training
175-hour comprehensive training for those without prior experience, completed within 90 days of hire
BLS certification required within 1 month of hire
PCA competencies to be completed within 3 months
Education: High school diploma or GED required
CNA/CPTC certification or enrollment in a healthcare program preferred
No prior experience necessary
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing/walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
