Mercy South - Full Time

This role will manage the daily operations of the Win From Within program- Nursing, Imaging, Respiratory and Surgical Tech students. Incumbent will report directly to the Manager of Academic Relations.

 

Win From Within provides up to $10,000/year (up to 3 years) for tuition/books/fees at eligible schools/programs.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Ability to professionally conduct interviews with applicants.
  • Screen resumes and application forms based on essential criteria.
  • Advises interviewing applicants of career opportunities, policies, orientation schedule, while promoting Mercy values, philosophy, and program.
  • Works in collaboration with Recruiter to identify candidates to offer & onboard. 
  • Assist in development of short -term and long-term hiring plans.2. Assist with onboarding and orientation for all assigned department's positions.
  • Meets regularly with Recruiters and Department Managers/Directors to plan and review Talent development of coworkers, retention issues, employment trends, and industry standards.
  • Acts as a liaison between Nursing Department, clinical education, Talent Selection and new candidate.
  • Provides guidance and placement of new hire into a professional development plan.
  • Conducts career advisement sessions with co-worker as needed. Completes coworker touch points at 30-60-90, 6 months and 1 year from hire or role transition.
  • Respond to co-worker questions pertaining to career development and advancement.
  • Develops accommodations and effective strategies to set co-workers up for success.
  • Collaborate with and coach co-workers through their respective program by creating specific action plans to remove roadblocks and support their advancement, and long-term success.
  • Track individual co-workers progressions to identified career path. 


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in a healthcare or related field
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Upholds and role models behaviors of professionalism. Remains knowledgeable in advances in the healthcare environment through continuing education. Is active in community/professional organizations.
