Find your calling at Mercy! The Public Safety Officer provides fire, safety, and security support to protect Mercy coworkers, patients, and visitors. This role maintains a visible presence across Mercy properties, enforces safety and security policies, responds to alarms and emergency situations, and assists clinical staff and guests as needed. All duties are performed in alignment with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards. Position Details:
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma
18 years of age or older
Licensure: Valid State drivers license
Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 30 days of hire)
Experience: Passing score on Functional Job Screening
Certification/Registration: Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (May be done as part of licensure)
Other Skills and Knowledge: Ability to read and write the English language
Preferred Qualifications
Education: College degree
Licensure: Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required.
Experience: Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience
