Compensation + Benefits:

  • Substance Abuse Therapist I: $25.82 starting rate + experience
  • Substance Abuse Therapist II: $29.56 starting rate + experience
  • Substance Abuse Therapist III: $32.77 starting rate + experience 
  • Night and weekend differentials available.

Position Levels: 

Substance Abuse Clinician I: Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) required. Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred. 

Substance Abuse Clinician II: Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) required. Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field preferred.

Therapist - Licensed or Unlicensed: Master's degree in human services or related field required. Licensed in the State of Colorado. 

 

Remote Work:This position does not work remotely.

 

Position qualifications:  

Certified Addiction Technician (CAT), Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), or other mental health licensure (e.g. LPC, LAC, LSCW) required. CAS or LAC within (1) year required.  Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field preferred. Two (2) years previous experience in human services related field preferred. 

 

Job purpose:

Provides effective coordination of program services and provides direct clinical services. Provides clinical assessment/problem identification, crisis intervention, individual, family and group therapy as allowed by individual's licensure level, and under the supervision of another when required by regulation. Assists residential staff in developing and monitoring treatment plans, discharge planning, and client case conceptualization. Works with a diverse client population in a variety of treatment approaches and/or settings. Assists the Residential Program Coordinator Lead in oversight of ongoing operations, maintenance of documentation and clinical charts, and data reporting with emphasis on clinical services and sustainable program quality

 

Knowledge, Skill & Ability(include materials and equipment directly used):

  • CPR/BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider required in residential setting.
  • Verbal De-Escalation/Certification required prior to independent patient care required (for residential settings).  Must have ability to perform duties required by training to provide verbal de-escalation if necessary (Training for certification will be provided).
  • Ability to produce written documentation of clinical work in a manner readily understood by other service providers. 
  • Ability to summarize service themes from a variety of client contacts and communicate suggested improvements for service delivery.
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment when assessing the level of risk and determining resolution of client emergencies, resulting in a safe outcome.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer keyboard, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships

with all internal and external customers.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop.  Must have the ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer.  Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs sites.  May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught, and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental health conditions. Possible exposure to communicable disease.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
