Pay Range: $47,915 – 59,414 annually (based on experience)

 

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

 

As NFM's Transportation Inbound Procurement Specialist you will encompass the review, planning and execution of all inbound provider contracts to all NFM facilities in North America, including ports of entry. Responsible for analysis of all inbound provider contracts active or generated by NFM. This is a hybrid position located in Omaha, NE. 

 

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

 

  • Be the Expert: Assist in the execution of inbound transportation contract(s) to carriers and manage transportation performance to ensure customer satisfaction and freight cost efficiency
  • Support: Maintain and review all active provider terms and renewals, project ideation, discovery, development, execution, and post-mortem
  • Communicate: Company newsletters, business reviews, project updates, etc. 
  • Report: Maintain, update, and provide various reports by service level to all levels of the company
  • Team: Work directly with operations managers, service providers, inbound planning, and warehouse managers to ensure contract conformance and service level
  • Collaborate: Serve as point of contact between project planning, warehouse, and service providers to solve contract service issues

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of industry experience specifically in contract procurement both international transporting and domestic transporting
  • Experience working with domestic and international carriers, to include freight forwarding agents
  • Knowledge JDA/Nexus/TMS Software preferred
  • Intermediate/advance Microsoft Excel skills involving multiple data points/validations including but not limited to data queries, vertical look up, pivot tables etc. required
  • Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check
