Base Salary: $35,000 plus Commission (expected 68,000+) Summary: Sells products for Nebraska Furniture Mart to builders, architects, associations, property management, businesses, healthcare facilities, schools, churches and/or end users by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Follow NFM Core Values of honesty and integrity, customer loyalty, quality products and services, teamwork, and cost effectiveness. · Attend work as scheduled. Schedule may include working nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs. · Staff may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those outlined here. · Driving is an essential function of this position. Drives defensively at all times and obeys all traffic laws. · Prospects new sales leads through various channels including but not limited to: internet web sites, business directories, social media and trade shows. · Sell product and associated installation labor that will go into new home and multi-family construction, apartments, remodels of single and multi-family dwellings and insurance/restoration businesses. · Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders – single family homebuilders, multi-family unit builders, apartment owners or managers, remodelers and architects. · Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and presents features and benefits. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. · Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts. · Develops effective relationships with builders, architects, associations and end users. · Attends and is an active participant in home builder meetings. · Regularly visits customers, returns phone calls, coordinates orders and installations and takes the lead in resolution of problems that arise. · Writes sales orders / Takes and returns phone calls and messages in a timely manner. · Works the sales floor when requested. Maintains the sales floor in a professional manner. · Works all exhibitions NFM may be involved with. Works instore events designated by management. Education and/or Experience: · High school diploma or GED preferred · 3 years outside sales experience. · Ability to read blueprints and specification books within 3-6 months on the job. · Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record / Must meeting hiring requirements / Ability to lift push pull required weights per established requirements for the department. · Ability to enter data quickly and accurately · Ability to work with basic math concepts to solve work related scenarios. · Ability to keep information confidential between individuals and entities of the business.
