Reporting to the WC Legal Support Administrator, the Worker's Compensation Litigation Support Supervisor is responsible for the daily management and delivery of litigation support services to the Workers' Compensation Staff Attorneys and Claims Staff.

Leveraging technical expertise, the WC Litigation Support Supervisor will be tasked with efficient management of litigation documents, assessment and preparation of Court files for hearings, and claims/legal file documentation while collaborating with other departments to proactively share knowledge and expertise.  Demonstrate ability to coach, develop and build strong legal support teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Paralegals and IME Coordinators in day-to-day management of litigated files;

  • Oversee litigation assistance for Workers' Compensation and Civil Litigation;

  • Ensure quality management of litigation documents and discovery requests;

  • Complete data analyses relative to workforce management;

  • Develop, recommend and implement departmental objectives and process improvements consistent with strategic initiatives;

  • Lead team meetings, facilitate training and development through one on one coaching to promote effective communication and departmental success;

  • Support Workers' Compensation Claims as needed;

  • Collaborate with internal resources and business units to ensure cross-departmental functionality;

Required Qualifications:

  • Paralegal Certificate or comparable experience in daily management of litigated files;

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a managerial position, preferably in the legal sector with proven ability to effectively build and lead strong support teams;

  • Proven critical thinking skills that demonstrate ability to problem solve;

  • Proficiency in accurately organizing and preparing legal documents;

  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Word, Excel and other applications;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and customer service;

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workers' Compensation claims or legal experience preferred;

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $86,020-$99,954
