The Manager Strategic Yield is responsible for contributing and providing support to the team that manages domestic intermodal equipment and commercial product design. This is focused primarily on the development, execution, and tracking of margin expansion plans derived from network design maximizing margin. The Manager Strategic Yield will be fluent in the costs and revenue of the intermodal network to rationalize inefficiencies and capitalize on cost leverage. This role will serve as product owner for information technology initiatives to ensure priority and alignment with contribution objectives. This professional will work with all levels of the organization to ensure growth and profitability of the domestic intermodal franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Develop margin expansion strategies using forecast and cost system tools
- Model demand forecast data to support margin strategies
- Drive team to execute margin expansion strategies
- Daily tracking of performance to defined margin strategy
- Coordination of systems project visioning, prioritization, and execution
- Managing analyses of network opportunities to improve efficiency ultimately driving yeild.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Supply Chain, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in pricing, yield management, or revenue optimization in a logistics or transportation setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools to drive data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with contract management and negotiation.
