Job DescriptionThe Senior Technology Analyst role will implement and manage geospatial data depicting the location of track, signal and other relevant operational features in the UTCS TDMS database. The role will also assess the needs of our operations business partners and suggest solutions that will contribute to increased productivity, efficiency and cost reduction with a strong focus on adding business value through IT solutions.
Responsibilities:• Analysis and assembly of geospatial data utilized to create PTC compliant Subdivision Files.
• Proxy product owner of NOC operations platforms and applications: PDS/UTCS/Movement Planner
• Utilize a variety of IT/GIS software tools to create data sets
• TDMS switch, signal and speed updates and subsequent change set installation
• Milepost imports for Baseline projects
• Creating in-depth business analyses that identify problems and opportunities available to our business partners
• Suggesting the most appropriate IT solutions to solve issues and improve operations
• Improving current systems to increase productivity
• Conducting research related to business planning
• Developing comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) test cases at the application level
• Perform data analysis and provide actionable insights
• Develops and documents workflow, systems requirements, system impact analysis, systems design, process analysis and testing (including reasonableness checks) to provide efficient, cost-effective solutions as directed.
• Identifies impact of solutions on existing and future systems. May perform operational activities.
• Creates and maintains reports to support operational needs.
• Manages small to medium sized projects for system enhancements impacting data management
• Participates in design plans and produces user documentation and training materials. May conduct end user training.
• Participates in initiatives or projects that support process improvements, leveraging new system capabilities or the integration of data/other applications into existing systems.
• Will participate in on call support.

Experience:
Minimum Level: 1-2 years
Preferred Level: 3-5 years
Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Majors: CS, CIS, MIS, Engineering, Math
Skills Required
• 1+ year experience as a Business Analyst within Technology, GIS Analysis, or Transportation.
• MS 365 suite of applications
