Description
At NorthBay Health The Clinical Laboratory Technologist III, Section Lead reports directly to the Supervisor, Laboratory Director and the Medical Director and is assigned to perform accurate and timely laboratory testing in the assigned sections of the laboratory. This position also may monitor technicians and other non independent practitioners. Must be able to use independent judgement and knowledge. Lead CLS for the assigned section under administrative direction is responsible for maintenance of policies, procedures and quality control practices. Provides management and accreditation support. Provides for a self-directed team approach to a customer driven service initiative.

Qualifications
Education:
- B.S. degree preferred.
- Graduation from an approved school of medical technology.
- Advanced certification in section assigned preferred.
Licensure:
- State of California Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
- ASCP or equivalent desired.
- Meets state and federal requirements for supervising the performance of high complexity laboratory testing as outlined in CLIA 88 and the State Title for Laboratories.
Experience:
- Six years as a registered technologist in an acute care hospital.
Skills:
- Phlebotomy, basic medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal.

Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $65.03 - Max $79.05 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
