Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department you will provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our patients following Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the NorthBay's professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care. You will also use a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and their family along with your interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required. (excludes grandfathered employees)
License and Certifications:
Valid, current and unencumbered RN license by the State of California
Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required
Must have Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment
PALS or ENPC within six months of employment
TNCC or ATCN certification within one year of employment
CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
A minimum of six months acute care RN experience required
One-year RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
One year of ED RN experience preferred.
Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to emergent and trauma patients
Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
Work Hours:
- FTE: 0.9 (Full-Time)
- Schedule: 36 hours weekly
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
