Description

At NorthBay Health the Clinical Systems Instructor provides instructor and performance support. Assists with curricular development, delivers training, and monitors and improves performance on the job. Supports department-based systems trainers and resource staff. Is a member of the Learning and Leadership Development Team within Human Resources.

Because of the program-based nature of job assignments, on-call availability requirements apply to periods greater than two weeks. Assignments are typically negotiated and documented at the beginning of the evaluation year, and re-evaluated on a continuous basis.

Qualifications

  1. Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of training experience highly preferred.  Preferably in Nursing, Education, Information Technology, or Human Resources. 
  • College level coursework in adult learning and instructional design strongly preferred. 
  1. Experience: 
  • Three years IT, clinical, and/or equivalent training experience required. 
  • Experience using medical terminology and knowledge of patient care workflows required. 
  1. Skills: 
  • Excellent classroom and one-on-one training skills required.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in word processing and database applications required to support project work. Experience with spreadsheet, presentation, and project management applications strongly preferred. 
  • Instructional design skills strongly preferred.
  • Must demonstrate the highest discipline re: confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy.  Ability to manage multiple projects in a busy office environment essential.
  • Requires a high level of comfort with taking initiative and being accountable for team work and service excellence.

6.      Physical Effort: Attendance is an essential function of the job.   • 80% sitting with use of computer terminal, phones for administrative responsibilities.
  • 50% sitting, 50% standing for lead and float teaching responsibilities.
  • Loading, unloading, and transport of equipment and materials occasionally required to support planned education activities.  Assistive devices available.
  • Requires inter-facility driving or travel to business sites to support education activities, typically pre-scheduled.  Must meet System driving standards, including but not limited to an unrestricted CA driver's license, liability coverage minimums.

Compensation: $38.88 - $47.25 ( based on years of experience in role)
