Description
At NorthBay Health the Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Service Technician II is responsible for providing functional and service expertise on general biomedical and specialized Diagnostic Imaging medical equipment, including but not limited to: Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems, Computerized Tomography, Cardiac Catherization Labs, Radiologic/Fluoroscopic Systems and Mammography Systems.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates general biomedical equipment and equipment in the Diagnostic Imaging specialty areas.
- Facilitates planned maintenance and unplanned maintenance service transactions.
- Oversees the work of external contractors/vendors engaged in providing services for specialized equipment.
- Serves as a subject-matter expert on applicable specialty equipment, including providing training and instruction to others on specialty equipment
- Assists in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, accessories and supplies in area of specialty. Participates in developing detailed purchase specifications for new specialty equipment.
- Provides customer relations and resolves specialty equipment service problems by ensuring that clinical capability is restored as quickly as possible.
- Maintains communication with customers regarding the status of specialty equipment repairs.
- Proactively solves technology issues when appropriate. Coordinates/schedules service (self, vendor and, when appropriate, other technicians) via management of customer expectations. Performs device investigations related to regulations and/or incident reporting.
- Maintains documentation associated with specialty equipment.
- Utilizes applicable automated hardware and software applications and diagnostic service software appropriate to the equipment being serviced.
- Documents all work performed, maintains parts, supplies, tools, test equipment and technical literature by completing service reports and supplemental productivity documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains an accurate and current parts inventory.
- Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of NorthBay with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications
Education:
- Associates Degree or Military/Manufacture service equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
- 10-years of Imaging service preferred.
License/Certification:
- CRES (Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist) and/or CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Specialist) preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, peers, colleagues, patients and visitors.
- Able to follow complex instructions involving task lists and duties covering an assigned work period.
- The ability to problem-solve and lead staff in the application of department and facility training involving response to disaster and occurrences such as fire, earthquake, storm, flood, disaster, etc., as part of the active team of employees within the facility that assures continuation of required services and functions.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize assigned duties and tasks; respond to requests for service; and prioritize department expectations in order to accomplish regular and flex assignments within an assigned shift.

Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $56.49 - Max $68.68 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
