Description

At NorthBay Health, the Director of Interoperability  will lead efforts to ensure seamless (frictionless) data exchange across applications, systems and platforms internal to the organization and externally with other entities. This includes integration in all areas of the enterprise supporting clinical, financial and business systems. This role works closely with the AVP IT Applications, Compliance, Legal and other leaders in the development and execution of interoperability strategy, standards, and processes. This leader is responsible for fostering collaboration between internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to enhance data integration to improve patient outcomes, streamline operations, enhance user experience, and support business objectives, while complying with local, State and Federal requirements including privacy and security. Managing a team of system administrators and engineers, this individual is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all areas of system integration and electronic data sharing including the staffing, processes and technologies necessary to execute interoperability services.

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or a related field or equivalent eight years combination of education and experience.

Licensure/Certification: PMP and Epic Bridges certifications preferred. 

Experience: 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare interoperability leadership. 

Skills: Expertise in HL7, FHIR, CDA, EDI, APIs, ESBs, SMART on FHIR, Oracle OCI and other healthcare data exchange standards. Strong understanding of EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech), HIEs and payer-provider integrations.  Experience with regulatory requirements (e.g., ONC Cures Active, TEFCA, HIPAA, 42 CFR part 2). Experience with Intersystems Ensemble preferred.

Compensation: $185K to $195K based on years of experience doing the duties of the role. Eligible for annual VCP Bonus
