We are seeking a Sr. Software Developer Representative to join NRECA's IT team in the Lincoln, NE office. We need a full stack (both front end and back end) lead web developer/architect, providing guidance to 5 other .NET developers who will provide full life-cycle development for software applications. If you have experience with requirements analysis and documentation, design, development, testing and implementation of applications, consider joining our dynamic and exciting applications development team.  This position offers employees a hybrid work schedule working at least 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.  

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides support of full product development lifecycle for software applications.

  • Leads others to solve complex problems.

  • Takes ownership of tasks and resolve system performance issues in a timely manner.

  • Reviews designs and implements user interface, API and database changes.

  • Works as a technology lead to give guidance and assist others to complete assignments and tasks.

  • Works with team members to improve work function processes.

  • Monitors production applications and integrate solutions via production monitoring tools.

  • Responds to and helps resolve production issues as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or 8+ years equivalent technology experience.

  • 8+ years of back-end design and implementation of server-side functionality and APIs experience. Preferred: C#, ASP.NET, AWS-RDS/SQL and MS SQL Server.

  • 8+ years of Web User Interface design and implementation using modern frameworks. Preferred: Blazor.

  • Experience with source/version control, continuous integration, and deployment.

  • Experience with project management concepts.

  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.

  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to lead others and demonstrate thought leadership while developing technical solutions, leading the team by example through demonstrated commitment and work ethic.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.

  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
