Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Receiving Specialist to manage procurement activities and ensure accurate receiving and inventory control. This role is critical to maintaining efficient operations and supporting our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase materials, supplies, and services at competitive prices.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Record and maintain accurate inventory data in ERP systems.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged goods, and coordinate returns.
  • Organize storage areas and ensure proper material handling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast inventory needs.
  • Coordinate with project management, as needed, to handle outbound shipping using carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and other freight services.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, receiving, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with shipping software and carrier platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse conditions.
