What you'll do:

This is a player-coach management position. You must have extensive experience as an Outside Sales Engineer and a detailed understanding of the requirements and duties for performing the roles of Applications Engineer and Inside Sales Engineer to effectively perform in this position. Additional details about what you will be doing includes:

  • Manage and provide daily leadership to outside Sales Engineers, Robotic Sales Specialists, Inside Sales, Prototype Engineers, and Applications Engineers.
  • Manage relationships with key customers and new target customers via active involvement with your sales team. This includes joint calls and escalating issues with suppliers and co-workers to accomplish customer requirements.
  • Develop your own strategic accounts that you are responsible to develop and grow new business..
  • Develop integrator partnerships.
  • Develop and deploy strategic sales activities and focus to your team for both End User and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) segments of the business.
  • Negotiate pricing for large opportunities both with supplier partners and directly with the customers. 
  • Responsible for revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Review large Engineered Solution projects with each salesperson to qualify the fit of the opportunity.
  • Travel to all sales regions in your region a must.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Respond to customer and coworker action items within 24 hours. 
  • Provide updates every 24 hours to ongoing tasks.
  • Provide your support team members with your daily schedule and availability.
  • Be available at a moment's notice to your team to support them and help with urgent notice.
  • Use all forms of communication effectively such as cell phone voice and text messages, Microsoft Teams chat, and VOIP phone, video calls, etc.
  • 50 hours/week is the minimum for a successful Division Manager, a flexible work schedule is the norm.
  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or another Engineering discipline is required.
  • An MBA is preferred.
