SALARY: $19.93/hr. (Negotiable)
After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.
 


POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the verification, data entry and processing of accounts payable transactions within the Gaming Division.   Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transactions according to established accounting rules and regulations.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in all areas at all times. Adhere to established quality, service delivery, customer service, and customer demand expectations.  Adhere to all audit, and legal regulations/laws and practices.
  • Calculate and determine appropriate coding/percentage of transactions for data entry and processing.
  • Log and enter all Gaming invoices into the payables ledger and AP automation system.
  • Verify completeness, accuracy, and documentation of data for Accounts Payable processing.
  • Provide quality services to both internal and external customers by furnishing accurate information, researching, resolving problems, and providing assistance as requested on a timely basis.
  • Conduct and reconcile required physical inventories utilizing the inventory system and investigate variances as needed.
  • Participate in team activities to identify processes and department improvement opportunities, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions.
  • Participate in training activities to expand knowledge of the software and financial procedures, allowing for rotation of job responsibilities and skill sharing across the department.
  • Provide accounting support and assistance to include but not limited to receiving, organizing and summarizing data; data entry, generate reports and conduct research as necessary.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification; applicants aged fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.
  • Two (2) years of experience processing detailed financial transactions for Accounts Payable, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience and knowledge of personal computers working with spreadsheet and database programs is required.


PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently sit and walk.
  • Occasionally stand and move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. 
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
  • Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust free.
  • A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test are required within thirty (30) days of employment.
