Summary:
The Director of Physical Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the leadership, management, and clinical oversight of therapy services within the Oneida Comprehensive Health Division (OCHD). This includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology services. The position will promote OCHD philosophy in providing high-quality, patient-focused, and culturally focused care while leading a team of rehabilitation experts. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, direction, on-boarding, development, and professional growth to a team of rehabilitation professionals, including Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, and Speech Therapists.
2. Oversee the daily operations of Rehabilitation Services that includes scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
3. Serve as a liaison and coordinate care between Rehabilitation Services, OCHD Administration, Nursing & Medical leadership, and the community while representing the department at professional meetings.
4. Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with OCHD mission, vision, and core values.
5. Evaluates professional and non-professional services supplied by the department.
6. Maintains records and reports concerning department financial status and prepares information for yearly budgets.
7. Provides direct care to OCHD patients throughout the lifespan.
8. Conducts regular staff meetings.
9. Prepare and present reports to include, but not limited to, the OCHD Executive Management Team, Director/Supervisor team, and the Quality Assurance Committee.
10. Participates in collaborative marketing activities and campaigns to promote referrals sources and communicate the array of services offered.
11. Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilize for decisions regarding FTE's, staffing, and operational budgets targets.
12. Create business plan(s), justifying variances and analyzing cost benefit of programs.
13. Incorporate evidence-based practice and appreciative inquiry into program development and improvement activities.
14. Create bi-directional systems that effectively communicate information and data, utilizing multiple methods.
15. Articulates and present data, information, and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
16. Manages the complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations.
17. Develops and implements recruitment and retention strategies that support a culture of leadership.
18. Identifies and addresses own professional growth needs.
19. Assesses staff development needs, goals, and provides resources.
20. Maintain membership in professional organization(s) to develop knowledge and resources through networking, continuing education, and participation in national, regional, state, local and/or tribal activities.
21. Directs and provides guidance to Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy to effectively allocate resources based on patient volume, space availability, budget constraints, and program priorities, goals, and objectives.
22. Develops and maintain Physical Rehabilitation Services policies and procedures to assure compliance with regulatory standards.
23. Ensure effective facilitation of team improvements, development, and leadership skills utilizing tools such as patient satisfaction surveys.

* Skill in ensuring department compliance with preparing and maintaining patient records.
* Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint).
* Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters.
* Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
* Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records with electronic health records and other healthcare technology systems.

*Current state of Wisconsin licensed in Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapy.

* Insurance Required
* Health Insurance Portability (HIPAA) Accountability, within 30 days of employment and annually thereafter.
* Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with three (3) months of employment and must maintain certification during employment.
* Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
* Child Abuse Reporting Policy (CARP), with ninety (90) days of employment.
