Summary:

This position will focus on strategic development and operation of the endpoint configuration management practice. The incumbent will manage and develop the team that participates in DTS service configuration management activities. This individual will develop, implement, optimize, and oversee the technologies, policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the configuration management system. 


Responsibilities:

* Align the endpoint configuration management practice vision/mission and roadmaps with the DTS and Oneida Nation's priorities and values by establishing specific and measurable operational level goals and objectives
* Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new information technologies, particularly in the areas of BI, analytics, and data warehousing
* Manage the team of staff who have roles involved in provisioning, packaging/delivering software, cataloging applications, defining user personas, and ensuring a seamless and efficient computing experience for all end users
* Oversee the design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of the configuration management database
* Ensure the efficient utilization and communication with the varied resources across the different teams of DTS
* Participate as a team member of the DTS Management team
* Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of BI/data warehousing systems, including data architecture, data integration, high availability, security, and data privacy
* Evaluate new hardware and software solutions as it relates to business unit needs.
* Work with external auditors, internal compliance, and internal audit departments to audit/mitigate the configuration management practice for accuracy and compliance
* Collaborate with business units to understand the business needs and recommend the best solutions to accomplish their business goals and objectives.
* Keep abreast of new technologies in order to provide tools for efficiency in daily operations by evaluating new hardware and software.
* Supervise, assign duties to, and coordinate the activities of staff to include; hiring, mentoring/coaching, orientation, scheduling, training, evaluations, and corrective actions. a.) Provide, direct and coordinate staff meetings for the coordination of resident services and any special projects.
* Maintain strict departmental security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations to stay abreast of business unit needs

Skills:

Essential:
* Exercise independent judgement and work as a team player with DTS or cross fucntional BU's.
* Obtain additional education and training
* Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondences
* Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
* Strong understanding of project principles.
* Strong technical knowledge of endpoint operating systems, endpoint configuration management systems methodology, building/deploying applications, and analytics
* Familiarity with System Center Configuration Manager, Intune, and Autopilot applications
* Familiarity with formal documentation practices, IT Service Management and Governance processes to include: a.) Change management. b.) Configuration management. c.) Asset Management. d.) Incident resolution and service request fulfillment. e.) Release and patch management. f.) Monitor, evaluate, and assess performance and conformance
* Strong technical knowledge of current configuration management trends
* Analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations
* Keen attention to detail

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
* A Combination of Experience and Education May Be Considered

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
