Summary:
Enhance executive's effectiveness by providing professional information-management and administrative support to the Executive HR Director. Achieve results through direction, assistance, and coordination of activities. Work closely with executive, managerial, and Human Resources staff to promote effective communication within all areas of the Nation.
Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to include development of short- and long-term goals and objectives for the Department consistent with the Nation's Goals and Objectives; develops implementation strategies and schedules to ensure timely execution of goals and objectives; recommends solutions of administrative issues and concerns.
* Improve administrative staff effectiveness by counseling, training and recommending disciplinary action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
* Coordinate and manage special projects, task forces and committees according to stated goals, objectives and timelines in order to bring resolutions and solutions to assigned projects; recommends decisions to be made or actions to be taken by the executive.
* Assist in writing the Tribal Policies and Procedures and the Human Resources Standard Operating Procedures.
* Initiate the fiscal budget development process and work with staff establishing budget requirements to meet their stated goals and objectives; implement and monitor budget expenditures.
* Analyze financial and operational reports to include budgets and HR statistical reports; make appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Analyze past trends and project future needs to forecast and manage the budget.
* Conduct annual department evaluation and assessments of departmental goals and objectives and staff according to established policies, procedures and regulations.
* Conserve Executive HR Director's time by reading, researching and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.

* Keep leadership and other departments informed of status of Human Resources activities by attending meetings, developing, analyzing and submitting reports.
* Ensure the integrity of policy and procedure interpretation on all Human Resources matters.
* Maintain effective communications and positive work relationships with executive and managerial staff, supervisors, and the public.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
