After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.
Summary:
This position is responsible for performing electrical wiring duties in a commercial or residential setting with relatively little supervision. Must be able to read blueprints, coordinate and set up large cable pulls, install switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, etc., complete electrical maintenance to over fifty (50) Oneida facilities as required.
Responsibilities:
* Install, repair, maintain, or replace (to include but not limited to):
- a. Wiring circuits light fixtures, wiring devices and the distribution system to applicable codes on all non-gaming Tribal buildings; pull wire/install underground raceways.
- b. Switchgear distribution panels, transformers and other electrical equipment.
- c. Electrical components of various equipment; work on secondary voltage equipment.
- d. Perform motor control troubleshooting and wiring installations.
- e. Use all electrically related tools, measuring and testing equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance of equipment.
* Available as on-call twenty-four (24) hours a day including evenings, weekends, and holidays
.* Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.* Assist in estimating jobs in terms of cost of labor, materials and recommendations
.* Successfully and consistently perform residential, industrial, and commercial electrical duties with little or no supervision
.* Efficiently plan and lay out electrical work for small and medium sized projects.

Essential:
* Knowledge of electrical circuitry in theory and application
* Ability to operate machinery and tools such as van lift, drills, saws, meters, etc
* Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with staff, clients, management or other departments as well as external agencies necessary to effectively carry out job duties
* Knowledge and ability to reference National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) and Comm 16 codes to adapt to tasks.
* Excellent organizational skills. This requires the incumbent to plan, organize and schedule priorities efficiently and effectively, meet strict deadlines and successfully cope with challenging situations and conditions

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
