After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Oversee/supervise the admissions, registration, patient services activities of Oneida Community Health Center. Oversee patient liaison, and patient data management activities. Participate in the development and review of operational policies and procedures and associated documentation. Provide day-to-day supervision and training of staff. 


Responsibilities:

* Prioritize the planning, organizing, managing and directing patient account services.
* Supervise personnel to include hiring, firing, performance evaluations, training, work allocation & problem resolution.
* Oversee the patient registration activities, including interviewing patients to obtain demographic data, consent for treatment to determine insurance coverage, and prior authorization.
* Supervise patient data input/output, ensure accurate patient data and census, and coordinate production of special and regular reports; may consult with information systems specialists to recommend improvements to existing data management systems.
* Provide assistance and liaison services to patients, staff, and various external agencies, to coordinate the completion of patient admissions and registration requirements.
* Develop recordkeeping procedures and manage appropriate department records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
* Serve on task force for continuous quality improvement objectives.
* Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor expenditures.
* Participate in the development of operating goals and objectives for the unit; recommend, implement, and administer methods and procedures to enhance operations.
* Complete End of Month Reporting, Monthly Statistic Reporting and any other reports requested for the department as needed.
* Reconcile payments received and prepare daily bank deposits for all registers at the end of the business day.
* Maintain a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
* Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required

Skills:

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to be persuasive and tactful in controversial situations
* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format
* Skill in data entry and word processing
* Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and basic math

* Knowledge of medical insurance procedures and documentation

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
