Site Description:
Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital is a hospital in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Construction of the hospital was completed in September 2020. It opened on 7 February 2021 to alleviate hospital capacity pressures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario, and opened for full service on 6 June 2021. It is operated by Mackenzie Health, which also operates Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. Its service area is primarily Vaughan, King, and Richmond Hill in the southwestern and south-central portions of York Region.

Position: Full-Time Contract Manager "Site Security Manager" Site: Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Employment Standards Act (ESA) after 40 hours Hours: Monday to Friday (0800-1600hrs.) The Contract Manager "Site Security Manager " is to be the liaison between Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, Mackenzie Health Hospital (Richmond Hill and Vaughan campuses) and Paladin Security Group ensuring all contractual obligations is met while acting on the behalf of the Security Department.
- Quality Control – Maintain Training Records
- Continue to adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency in a dynamic environment.
- Dealing with people while promoting safety consciousness in the workplace and surroundings
- Record keeping and meticulous documentation
- Monitor security officers to enforce security/safety programs
- Implement security/safety improvements that benefit the Customer's assets, visitors, patients and Customer staff
- Plan and conduct safety awareness meetings
- Respond to all security concerns from tenants and Hospital personnel
- Develop and maintain positive relations with tenants, contractors, local law enforcement, community and groups or associations that benefit and support the organization.
- Develop and maintain list of appropriate police jurisdiction contacts.
- Flexible work schedule required
- Plan and prepare staff meetings including preparation of agenda and documentation of minutes
- Flexible to travel to the Hospitals multiple sites as required
- Complete Security Officer interviews, evaluations and annual performance reviews.
- Ensure daily coverage, patient watch, special assignments, duties, and crisis/emergency coverage are assigned according to the contract and/or as needed.
- Accountable for coordinating services within the Hospitals contracted budget.
- Conducts safety security inspections
- Provides statistical analysis
- A graduate degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related discipline and specialized training in protection services or criminology; or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of three years supervisory/managerial experience in security and / or fire safety services.
- Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards in security, and protection of privacy
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a security, supervisory role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Superior investigative and problem-solving skills
- IAHSS, IMS, CPTED certification is an asset
- Genetec, CCURE and RTLS experience is an asset
Prerequisites: · Valid Security License for the province of Ontario · Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) · Covid Vaccine two doses · Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test · Valid G class Driver License · English (oral and written) fluency is a must · Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred. · Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) · Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position · Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability If you don't have immunization record, click on the link below to know how to get it: https://paladinsecurity.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/How-to-get-immunization-records-Paladin.pdf Click on the link below to download Paladin Immunization form. High School Diploma/GED
Post secondary education in law enforcement from a recognized institution or equivalent experience
Immunization Record
2 years of security supervisor experience
Police Foundations Diploma / Law and Justice Studies Degree
Valid G Licence
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
