Paladin Security is providing security services for three large-scale events on Sat July 19, Weds July 23, and Sat July 26. These are major events in Vancouver, with hundreds of thousand of attendees expected. You will work in close coordination with the municipality, police agencies, and other emergency responders to ensure a safe and memorable experience for all.
This is an unmatched opportunity to gain security experience in a fast-paced, high-profile environment and to work alongside first responders at some of the city's greatest events!
We will have morning and afternoon shifts for all three event days, and the pay rate will be $21.93/hour.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work all three event dates and attend one half-day of site training in early July
- Must have large-scale event security experience (ex. 5 events with more than 1,000 attendees), OR more than one year of work experience as a security supervisor
- Must have a valid BC Security License and be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must have valid Basic First Aid / Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1)
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills
- Physical ability to stand and patrol outdoors for the entire shift in all weather conditions
- Comfortable approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, intoxication, bodily fluids, etc.
This temporary contract will run through the end of August as there is potential for future event shifts, and for transition into permanent opportunities with Paladin Security.
